Smores Macarons
Ingredients:
- 2/3 cup almond flour
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 large egg whites
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/2 cup chocolate ganache
- 1/4 cup crushed graham crackers
- 1/4 cup mini marshmallows
Instructions:
Set the oven temperature to 300F 150C
Use parchment paper to line a baking sheet
Pulverize the powdered sugar and almond flour in a food processor
Pulse until thoroughly mixed
Beat the egg whites until frothy in a mixing bowl
Beat in the cream of tartar after adding it
Add the granulated sugar gradually while beating until stiff peaks form
To make a smooth and glossy batter, gently fold the almond flour mixture into the egg whites
Spoon the batter into a piping bag that has a round tip attached
Onto the baking sheet that has been prepared, pipe tiny rounds of the batter
To get rid of the air bubbles, tap the baking sheet against the counter
Give the macarons 30 minutes to sit so a skin can form
Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, or until the macarons are set and have formed feet, in a preheated oven
On the baking sheet, let the macarons cool fully
After cooling, cover one macaron shell's flat side with a layer of chocolate ganache
Add mini marshmallows and crushed graham crackers to the top
To make a sandwich, place another macaron shell on top
Continue by using the leftover macaron shells
