Nutella Cupcakes 1-Bakers Royale
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup Nutella hazelnut spread
- 1/4 cup hot water
- 1/2 cup Nutella for frosting
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter for frosting
- 2 cups powdered sugar for frosting
- 1/4 cup milk for frosting
Instructions:
Start by heating the oven to 350F 175C
You can line a cupcake tin with paper liners
Mix the cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl with a whisk
Put away
Melt the butter and mix it with the sugar in another bowl until the mixture is light and fluffy
One at a time, add the eggs and beat well after each one
Add the vanilla extract and mix well
First add half of the dry ingredients to the wet mixture
Then add the buttermilk
Mix everything together
Mix in the rest of the dry ingredients until the batter is smooth
Warm up 1/2 cup of Nutella in a small bowl that can go in the microwave for 20 seconds, or until it gets a little softer
Add the hot water and stir until the mixture is smooth
Mix the Nutella mixture into the cupcake batter until it is well mixed in
Use about two thirds of the batter to fill up each cupcake liner
After the oven is hot, bake the cupcakes for 18 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out clean
For a few minutes, let the cupcakes cool in the pan
Then, move them to a wire rack to cool completely
Half a cup of Nutella and half a cup of softened butter should be mixed together well for the frosting
Swap adding the powdered sugar and milk in small amounts at a time until the frosting is smooth and creamy
Use a piping bag or a spatula to frost the cupcakes with the Nutella frosting once they are completely cool
You can add chocolate sprinkles or hazelnut pieces as a decoration if you want to
